How do you like your tea?

I think tea runs through my veins. About two years ago,
I started to leave the bag in and it changed my life.

Who would you most like to have a cup of tea with?

My best friend. I have quite a few, so if I leave it at that, everyone will think it’s them!

What says Christmas
for you?

Chocolate for breakfast.

What’s your happiest Christmas memory?

Waking up to feel the weight of a pillowcase full of presents on my feet.

My dad would sneak into the bedroom with them at night and sometimes I’d hear him swear if he stood on a piece of Lego.

If you weren’t an actress, what would you be?

Oh, all sorts of things. I was going to do archaeology and anthropology at university, but changed my mind at the last minute. I think I’d also have made a good therapist.

Daisy, your character in Not Going Out, is quite ditzy. Are you the same?

Sometimes I’ll go into
a shop, come out and I can’t remember which direction I was walking in. It’s part of the reason I never learnt to drive.

How do you spend your free time?

I do a lot of writing, which
is work, but I love the escapism. I also like to read, and I go to the theatre and art galleries a lot, too.

What object could you not live without?

My laptop. I worry when
I don’t know where it is – it’s the closest thing I have to a child!
