Hi there, I’m Anna Bailey. I’ve been working as a lifestyle writer and online editor for more than 16 years.
I currently manage the digital features team on Womanandhome.com, and I’m the editor of GoodtoKnow.co.uk.
After completing BA Multimedia Journalism at Bournemouth University, I began my career as a local newspaper reporter for the Basingstoke Gazette in Hampshire. After that, I joined ITV Digital, creating and editing content for ITV’s biggest daytime shows, including This Morning, Loose Women, Britain’s Best Dish and various fashion and cookery programmes.
Before joining GoodtoKnow and Woman&Home, I was the Features Editor at MSN UK, where I oversaw the Health & Fitness and Travel sections. I have also worked at the broadcaster UKTV managing the websites for two of their leading lifestyle TV channels, Really and Home. I’ve also written lifestyle features for various other publications, including The Daily Mirror, LoveFood, LoveExploring and TBSeen.
My specialist subjects
Throughout my career, I’ve written extensively about food and cooking. I love finding out about the latest food trends, must-try ingredients and recipes. As a former health editor, I’ve also covered a wide range of wellbeing features, from the latest medical news to the hottest new fitness fads and gadgets. Travel is another huge passion of mine, and I’ve spent many months travelling around the world.
In my spare time, I’m also a Humanist UK celebrant (thehappycelebrant.co.uk) – I write and conduct non-religious weddings and baby naming celebrations for couples planning to spend their lives together. So, I love reporting on the latest wedding and relationship news and advice as well.
