These full-day workshops are brilliant for complete beginners or for anyone keen on needle felting, which is an easy technique to pick up. All you need is a needle and a pile of fluff and, once you’ve learned the basic method, you can make almost anything!

Learn how to needle-felt this special mad March hare (he hops in at 18cm high).

Wee Woolly Mouse, Monday 6 June

You will be making this cute little mouse in your choice of colour (your finished mouse will be approx 12cm tall).

Make your own little jointed teddy bear with coloured fibres and embellishments (12cm high)

Winter Woolly Polar Bear, Monday 14 November

Come and needle felt a polar bear figure (9cm high). Judy and Roz will show you how to keep him cosy as you use a wool-sculpting technique to add his scarf and earmuffs.

Meet the tutors

Judy Balchin and Roz Dace

    • Judy is a designer who’s written numerous craft books and articles. She attended Cardiff and then Maidstone College of Art, where she studied graphic design, before starting work as a designer at the BBC.
    • Roz has always loved creative writing, drawing, painting and all crafts. For many years, she was Search Press‘s editorial director, comissioning practical arts and crafts books for international markets.

Tickets will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Woman’s Weekly has the right to change the itinerary of the day. Please note, tickets to these events are non-refundable, unless they are cancelled or postponed. A guest-list policy will be in operation at the events. After purchasing tickets, you will receive confirmation – this is your event ticket, so please retain it for future reference.

Where are the workshops held?

At our HQ: Blue Fin Building, 110 Southwark Street, London SE1 0SU. The workshops do not include lunch, but there is a canteen or you can bring your own and there are also food outlets close to the office. Should your chosen date already be sold out, you will if possible be offered an alternative date.
