We showcase fabulous pieces sent in by Woman's Weekly readers
It’s certainly safe to say that Woman’s Weekly readers love animals.
We have been sent so many adorable snaps of your homemade creatures that we just couldn’t resist collating them into a charming gallery.
A quick flick through your pictures shows us that when it comes to knitted animals, rabbits are extremely popular.
Fiona from Lincolnshire was inspired to dig out her needles after seeing a pattern that she loved in one of our special issues.
‘I bought the April edition of Woman’s Weekly Knitting And Crochet Magazine for the first time, and how lovely it is,’ she said.
‘I knitted Bunny Girl for my 91-year-old mother as she admired the photograph. Here is Bunny Girl posing with a chocolate Easter egg.
‘My mother is delighted with her and is torn between naming her Bunty or Bella. I hope you like her.’
Jane Ward also impressed us with her trio of knitted toys, while Bernie Stanley got us smiling with the bride and groom bunnies she make for a friend’s wedding day.
We have no doubt that pig lovers will find Valerie Joy, Angela Butler and Margaret Chambers’ George and Peppa dolls incredibly sweet.
Adore monkeys, cats and dogs too? Our round-up also features cute knitted and crochet versions that we’d proudly put on display at home.
Finally, Sali Hufton’s brown and cream crochet fox with beady eyes and bushy whiskers really is a make to be proud of.
‘I made him for my mum to keep her company in the conservatory over summer. She chose the name Fred (original I know),’ she jokes.
‘He’d love to be famous within the Woman’s Weekly community.’
Let our showcase of readers’ wonderful knitted animals and crochet toys inspire you to get crafty.
